LE HAVRE, FRANCE: St. Joseph Church . . . and Mocktail #5

The octagonal tower of St. Joseph Church is 350 feet high.

St. Joseph Church was built in the 1950s “as a memorial to the 5,000 Le Havre civilians who died during World War II”.

The guidebook writer unappreciatively remarks, “The stark, somber, Neo-Gothic interior is worth a quick visit only to appreciate its Greek-cross floor plan and to peer up inside the tower.”

Bryan and I thought the church was awesomely beautiful and modern.

*******

Bryan’s PINEAPPLE MARGARITA MOCKTAIL = 1 serving

3 ounces pineapple juice
2/3 ounce lime juice
1 ounce orange juice
Pinch of cinnamon mixed into ¼ tsp simple syrup

Pour into ice-filled highball glass.  Top up with club soda.
